E.P. Carrillo Short Run  2023 hails from Honduras, rather than the Dominican Republic, as it’s being rolled by Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. The wrapper is Ecuador Havana, the binder from Nicaragua and the filler a mix of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos. Cigar Aficionado’s description is perfect, “Solidly rolled with a dark, oily cover leaf. The fine draw and combustion impart an earthy, peppery smoke sweetened by touches of coconut and vanilla, but a charry note comes through and intensifies as the cigar progresses. There is a hint of black truffle on the finish.” Halfwheel rated this beauty a 91.
